@philipFROM-PNW , if You look on the google map of southwestern Ontario, there is a land location south of Leamington, Ontario, called Pelee Island, and just south of that island is a point of land that is all farther south than the Oregon/California border, and after a quick check on google gps coordinates, mainland Point Pelee National Park is also south of the boundary line! that could be baja Canada for You! That puts 16 US states completely above that OR/CA boundary line! I always knew there was a line, but that it reached that far south I did not! kinda cool!
Thank you Kind Sire, we munchkins of Baja Canada, need "Information PLEASE" ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ;-) ....
I have enjoyed the °Domain° AKA Canada TWICE • • • • Once in 1971, just after my EXIT from the US ARMY: 2nd Lt. Jerome Smith's NAME, is Forever etched in MY mind, his Persnickety PERSISTANCE, in asking me to RE-ENLIST, >>>Just because<<< "he Knew" that my Occupational Specialty was AVIONICS COMMUNICATION EQUIPMENT REPAIR, the Second LONGEST Signal Corps SCHOOL, at that time | TAGGED | for "request to Re-Enlist" • • • • • •
His first BONUS OFFER was $10,000, after Five increases, AND FIVE DENIALS, that FINAL BONUS was $50,000, (the COST of my SCHOOLING), My Kindest words ° ° ° ° IIRC, was "SIR: YOUR offer to this Specialist is ONE/TENTH of what is needed, [ To SPEND one single DAY extra, in This Mans' ARMY ]", I might be *ParaPhrazing* there • • • • Lets just say, I WERN'T HAPPY in the ARMY NOooooooo More • • • • • • BUT I DIGRESS!
I left FORT Dux, New Jersey, got a Greyhound BUS to Reading PA, spent a few days with my Girlfriend at her Uncle's house, I bought a BREAD COMPANY'S VAN, "American Bread Company" [ABC] (I really can not make up my *STORIES* they are too VIVID a REALITY), I put a Twin Bed Mattrass (¿sp?) on the floor, added a 2 burner Coleman Stove needed cook gear & a Colman Gas Light...... drove to NY, accross the Niagra Falls . . . .
AND DROVE "straight" to CANADA ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° °
You see, Crosby Stills Nash & Young Wrote a song about a *Town in North Ontario*, And I wanted to SEE it for myself!
I fell in LOVE, with Canadian Culture, starting @ the Border, Niagra Fall, CA.
RCMP'S are Kool !!! The name of the Town, escapes me at this Moment, but when I got there, I bought a Harmonica, and then Drove South !!!
It was the REAL *Summer of Love*, I once picked up 12 Hitch Hikers, in Three Blocks ALL going to an "OUT DOOR ROCK CONCERT", **Like Wood Stock, Yah Know** ;-) ° ° °
I ended up crossing back into Baja Canada, I think at Windsor ???? taking a Ferry to Millwakie, and A MONTH LATER, arriving in my Home Town, in NORTHERN CALIFORNIA
I wood Share MORE but I ran Ottowa COFFEE (B.A.G.) (A joke upon *Out Of*)
