In six or seven years I have never seen a set of broaches come up for sale

Ya I looked for years for a used set and never found anything either. I ended up buying a new set.

I buy a LOT of tools off Aliexpress. I'm not sure I would buy a Chinese broach. I've had a name brand broach break/explode a time or two.

I found my broach set on CL for USD $200.

DuMont & Hassay Savage are a couple of names that come to mind.

I have to add that I bought the broach set from Busy Bee a couple years ago and a 1/4 inch square broach from a dealer I also have a 3/8 & 1/2 inch broach.

All my broaches are kijiji or FBMP. They don't come up often, but they are there. Like good machines, you have to move fast. I have no full sets.

I think if I were starting over, I would buy all my broaches one at a time as needed and make all my own arbours and depth tabs.
