The rest, well, while the guys that are employed actually cutting and hauling the wood are almost entirely Canadians, the Companies they were working for, were almost entirely offshore, either US or Aussie based... During the softwood lumber thing. Maybe not an issue in Hardwood country, but around here, it ...was...

So, while the US imposes Tariffs on "Canada", the outfit they most kick in the nuts, is like to be a US one... Again....

Did this ever get resolved? I remember long ago the softwood lumber tariff (duty) went to court and it was determined the USA could not collect the duties. I never heard if the money collected was ever refunded. Last I recall it seemed collecting it was not happening.
