These guys will answer questions, but if you don't want to be shooed away, make sure your questions don't come off as "newbie", as the site is intended for professional machinists, toolmakers, and the like. Cost isn't usually an issue for them, but efficiency is paramount, so things like feed rates, cut depths, and number of passes and setups per part tend to get more discussion than how to do something.

Best for hobby machinists to lurk on this board rather than participating, but that will be very useful on its own.
