Powerfeed for Zay7045FG Mill

So, I ordered a Powerfeed from Vevor, unfortunately the style I got is not one that will work for me. I am looking for the Powerfeed that instead of hanging off the side of the mill table. Similar to the one in the picture below. Anyone know where in Canada I can get this from?

That style is hard to find and when you do it will not be cheap :(
I managed to adapt the 'Bridgeport style' one to the left side of the table on my RF-30 clone. I'll look for the thread.
Here's a link to it in operation.

i have the style you are looking for on my rf30, david is right, they are not easy to find and they are not cheap, i paid well over 300$ for the one i have, kinda wished i had just modified one, at least if it breaks the replacement is much cheaper

I wonder if it's cheaper to get a servo or stepper and then make a bracket. A simple pulse generator can then be used to drive the motor. Good used servo on eBay sometimes go as low as $100

Probably worth a try. Would a stepper have a clutch or a release so you can still crank the axis manually?

I abandoned the limit switches on mine. If you need or want them, then some minor additional circuitry would be needed.

If anyone could make a stepper work, I'd put my money on your horse!

Very Good point.... Servo motors when disabled freewheel with very little friction, while steppers while disabled will have a very noticeable magnetic pole type chunky feel type friction. When powered either will resist any movement.
