A good source for the linear shafts is used struts or shocks from a car/suv or whatever. I have been collecting them for years. The come in various diameters but i have some 16mm for this project.

Here's my take on the power drawbar. The impact is a CP the pneumatic push buttons are from princess auto

Oh looks good. You decided to make separate button controls for control of the impact, is that because the impact didn't have a butterfly style control?

I removed the lever from the impact and used the PB for convenience that way I don't have to reach over top of the mill although I'm over 6'

I like it and think maybe that is a good idea for me to consider on my plans to make one also
