Photos not opening

I got this screen with a few of @phaxtris images yesterday in this thread and figured it was his photo format. But then I responded to the thread with a photo and today, my own image gives me the same error. I went and looked at some other threads, older photos and they open normally. Anyone know what I need to do to resolve this? Why has it changed?

Sadly, this problem is growing. I see your image is png format. I believe jpg is more reliable. Also, load the image using thumbnail instead of full image.

Thread 'Pictures Disappear'

When a FB ad is posted with a picture, the picture will stay for a few seconds and the disappear leaving the link. I don't know if this is a bug or a procedural error in how it is posted. It may be other posts as well but it's most noticeable on the FB posts.

The rubber floor mat ad that @Dan Dubeau is an example.

Does this happen with others or am I special?

I recently found that ‘photo’ (jpg) files, are not attachable to conversations in April 2025.

They are attachable to this conversation that was initiated back in March 2025.
Is this what others have been experiencing ?

Thumbnails seem to work almost 100% of the time whereas full images do not.
