Personal website creation

If you're looking to do any kind of online selling Squarespace is the way to go.
I'm glad this post got initiated, I'm interested too. So how does this work on financial side? As part of squarespace setup you set up a bank account for customer payment? Do funds flow direct or through squarespace (for a fee)? Are transactions held until seller confirms goods received? If someone says I want to use my credit card vs bank card can either be accommodated? Does it check for scammers right there on the spot? Sorry I should just do some reading myself but thought I'd ask.

Note that Square and Squarespace are not the same company.
My Square account was dead easy to set-up. I ordered the Square card scanner thing, I think it was $60 delivered.
Once it arrived I connected it via Bluetooth to my phone and used the Square app to set up deposits to my bank account. I can accept debit and credit and I do not need a merchant account.

The fee structure is here: https://squareup.com/help/ca/en/article/5068-what-are-square-s-fees
2.65% per card present transaction,
2.9% + 30 cents per paid Square Invoice and Square Online sale,
3.4% + 15 cents per manually entered transaction and $0.10 for Interac chip & PIN, or tap sales."

They have a good article on protecting yourself from fraud: https://squareup.com/help/ca/en/article/6159-protect-yourself-from-scams-and-fraud
