  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. Milwaukee, and Ryobi, and Ridgid are all made by Techtronic industries, a Hong Kong based organization. (Ryobi and Ridgid are licensed) so 3 of the 4 aisles of power tools at a certain hardware store are all the same. ! That is pretty surprising.

Makita is a Japanese based company.

StanleyBlack&Decker also includes Dewalt, Craftsman. and many hand tools brands.

Bosch owns lots of brands too. Bosch is 90%+ owned by a charity Mr. Robert Bosch setup in 1921.

Made in the same factory does not necessarily mean "identical in every respect", although I imagine in some cases it does mean exactly that.
Fascinating article in any case. I see they made a stab at "who makes Harbor Freight" but I guess aimed at a primarily US audience so did not look into Princess Auto ("Power Fist"), who I speculate is similar.
