Ottawa area BBQ and swap meet this Summer

:) possibly but my summers are typically very busy with an elderly father, camping, gf, work and some road trips (when can find care for my father). I would still make time if I can :)

I'd be interested, timing is better if not on a long weekend (other plans and activities with family) but otherwise I'm game.

The first two Toronto meetups were low key barbeques. It's a good way to get your feet wet and strengthen contacts.

When I first saw the Aylmer gathering post, I thought great, that's not to far. But that is Aylmer Ontario not Aylmer Quebec which is less than 20 km away. Bummer, Alymer Ontario is a 7hrs drive.
Then I saw Slow poke invite YES, that a 15 minute drive, count me in!

I thought the same thing, and then I was like where is Aylmer Ontario?
Please count me in for the meetup as well and thanks for offering to host us.

Go for it @slow-poke !!!
As @Susquatch, said - a meetup can be as easy and as relaxed as you want - or a bit more involved and structured (as was our last meetup). Either way doesn't matter - meetups make meeting other forum members so easy, and will likely result in a few lasting friendships.
I can send you a few pointers/tips in a PM - better yet - @Susquatch, do your moderator magic, and add slow-poke to our meetup planning PM.
Meetups are an awesome part of what makes this forum so great. Canadian eh! I've been a member for 3 years and have been to 3 meetups. You'll have to hog-tie me to an oak tree to keep me from attending the Almer meetup :-) Ottawa is not out of the question too!
