  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. Tips/Techniques On coiling bandsaw blades

Tips/Techniques
For many here this is already old hat. Some new to machining may want this reminder video. I've shown a similar technique to around 5 guys here in Calgary, but if you don't do it often, it is easy to for get, so here's a good video on how to do it:

oops. My explanation was flawed - 3 loops is only 2 opposing twists, not four. My fault.

Ouch! I think I just had an aneurism and then banged my head on the wall. I don't know which was worse.

I had the aneurism when I read that you think you messed up with only two twists.

Then I fell against the wall when I realized you were a lot like Einstein whose biggest mistake was thinking he made a mistake.

I think there are 4. The two you make when you fold the sides over and another counteracting one in each of the two loops when you fold the "double" down onto the third.

If there were only two, they would already be there with each of the first two folds and there would be no need for the final fold.

See what you started!!!! LOL!

So, which one do you figure came first, chicken or egg?

....... Probably shouldn't have done that to you before the first coffee......:p

Too late. Already having my coffee. Spilled it laughing......

Chickens are evolved from dinosaurs. Dinosaurs laid eggs. Dinosaurs came before chickens. Therefore the egg came first.

Are you glad you asked?

(Insert evil grin here)
