  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. Don’t be shy, sign up and come, or plan your own meetup!

Off topic posts

Well now. Although the garbage bins are made of metal I think the Iceberg concept is better as off topic.
Walking along in Amsterdam heard a loud noise.
Seems 11% (maybe more?) of the garbage bin is above ground.
What a novel concept to prevdnt bins from overflowing. They hoist it above the truck and open the bottom to empty it.

New buildings are getting outdoor bins that are partially below grade, have been for a few years now, they use a picker to pull the bag out of the bin/hole, I have seen them on at least 5 projects

We walked past a set of 4 of them this evening. One marked garbage, one paper, one glass and one compostables.
I'm guessing the customized garbage truck has multiple compartments.
Really amazing how big the below ground part is.
