This was forwarded to me by me Dad (who is a wee bit of a hoarder himself!)
Yes. I'm not married (divorced), but my parents (mid 70's) and closest friends have a short list of people to contact to deal with all my junk if I drop dead, etc.It really made me think that if something unexpectedly happened to me that my wife and kid wouldn't know what everything was or what it was worth. It would be bad enough for them to have to deal with emptying out the shop I would at least want them to get what things are worth and not loose out on money.
Unfortunately no one I know knows anything about metal working. The wife has a pretty good handle on what everything is and what its worth on the wood working side of the shop. On my list of things to do, both for insurance and if I kick off early, is to make a list of all my tools and equipment as well as their value. I won't even mention just how long that has been on my list of things to do.Yes.
