Noob question: Propane Oxy problem keeping flame

I have a very old J series Victor torch that I found on market place. It came with a Victor UN-J adapter tube and a set of welding tips for Acetylene. I purchased a number of Propane style tips (recessed) from these guys.

I use propane for soldering, brazing and heating and switch tips to the Acetylene tips for welding. I use quick connects to move the gas line between the Propane and Acetylene bottle.
