I discovered a link to a pdf copy of the Newnes Workshop Engineer’s Pocket Book which is a condensed version of the UK equivalent to Machinery"s Handbook. It has an interesting array of tables and 'how to' sections like Sine Bar Use, measuring tapers and dovetails.
