  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Calgary Area Meetup is set for Saturday July 12th at 10am. The signup thread is here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area. Don’t be shy, sign up and come, or plan your own meetup!

Howdy! Per the subject line, fairly new to machining here - did some lathe work back during summer jobs in university, but that's a few decades ago...

Anyway, looking forward to learning more with the help of this community - and to re-gaining access to the Member-Spotted Deals forum!

I went to school from grades one to seven in that school...... Kinda funny, the Woodbank school was built and the road at the same time, and somewhere along the line someone didn't check the spelling on the original sign and the road name stuck...... I plan on being back down again, hopefully the weekend after the September long weekend.... And probably quite a bit in the next while as Dad isn't doing too good at the moment.....
