  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area. Don’t be shy, sign up and come, or plan your own meetup!

Hello!

New to the hobby and group! I have experience in blacksmithing and bronze casting. Along with an electrical ticket and milwright in the works. I'm excited to learn machining and some design and engineering! I have an bottomless pit of ideas that I just want to bring to life! And boy if this the most fun way to do it!

Your fabricated replacement looks really good! How did you manage to make that without a mill? I have a spare if you want it.
Haha ya a spare mill? Won't say no
Thank you. It took a few failed attempts and a lot of learning. But I have a face plate that was very useful combined with creative fixtureing. And had to feed manually.

Welcome!

How come once you have figured out your problem and its solution, only then do millwrights come out of the woodwork, so to speak! Conspiracy! Alien invaders, I say!

I hope you enjoy all the serious and not-so-serious things to be found here!
