My First Dickson Auto-Retractor

Super User
I was contacted by a gentleman from the U.K. who has a Dickson S1 toolpost and was interested in an auto-retractor. I tried to talk him into a straight-shank model, but he was having none of it. I found some aftermarket holders on eBay and ordered a couple. Being from India, I was hoping they wouldn't be too hard to be machined. When they arrived, I was surprised at how small they were (smaller than an AXA) and a little concerned about fitting the works into it. Once I sat down with Acad and drew it up, it was all quite close, but doable.
