We were at the cottage (Quebec) during the long weekend, turns out that if you're going to have a garage sale this is the weekend of choice, there were about 30 within five km from our place, and they post a google map with all the locations so there easy to find. Seems like the out in the country garage sales are better than the city ones (less dollar store junk and more tools and hardware).

Picked up this little ShopVac for $5, and then a filter from Aliexpress for $1.44

Rigged up one of those FOB power relays and mounted the FOB to the mill with magnets, real handy to toggle on and off, should save on vacuum bags.

Way too many bargains to list.

Measure it up and get two things made! First, a cylinder to extend the height of the vac itself. Preferably, so the cylinder sits on the base, and seals, and the motor sits on that, and seals.
Then get a coarse mesh bag built, that will hang inside the new made cylinder. You want it to catch all the chips, but allow oil, or coolant, to drain through!

Then, you have the Perfect Machine Shop-Vac! IMO!

Oh yeah... "You Suck!" (pun not intentional! Really! )LOL! Great buy!
