  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area. Don’t be shy, sign up and come, or plan your own meetup!

Was no price on what I could see. Ya, 1200 is too much unless you really need one like that. Mine is the busy bee. It works for my needs but I wouldn't turn one like that down at the right price.
 
Ye I don't think it's a deal as you can get KBC grade A plate with 2 ledges for 600$ I think but probly doesn't have certifications or backing mitutoyo does

Also fixed links forgot I had the dial indicators copied as I thought they were real good deal at 4$ but then saw they were dickered
 
The stand is half that, new. It looks like it was well used, but not abused. Probably not in cert any more (based on surface condition), but well priced, and can be brought into cal easily, for about 600$....

All in all, a good deal.
