Mini Milling Machine, $700, Calgary, AB

Mini-Mill, humongous (drill press) vise.
The vise is so big its handle is resting on the hand wheel for the mill. The seller might get more action if he pulls off the large drill press vise and cleans up the mill. This one has been on and off kijiji for some time. I think its over priced and not all that useful. Like a small drill press on steroids. Lathe in the background looks to be a mini lathe.

The seller is 'Chris Wood', aka 'cwood' (both kijiji usernames), a real douchebag reseller. I've had some wood working pieces for sale at various times, and his Kijiji/Facebook and text messages telling me my goods are junk and he'd be doing me a favour giving me 50% of my asking are too numerous to count. This fucknugget is a real piece of work...

plenty of flippers in the GTA are exactly like this... they keep doing it and are successful because there are always takers.

Making matters worse is that the GTA is a dumping ground for amazon, walmart and other online seller warrantee returns which then go up for auction, often by the pallet load.

really sleazy people then buy the lots, and put up individual items for sale and claim things like "I got this as a gift but already have one" dumping broken items on to suckers. Meanwhile if you do go to check them out you can find the amazon return slips in the box with returnees comments the item is broken.

I got a breville smart oven this way, and only found out when I got it home that it had intermittent fault that is common with the smart ovens. The seller refused to take it back.

You can't safely buy any consumer goods in the GTA any more there is so much shit from so many fraudulent sellers who lie.

Thanks for sharing the alert of this person

Hey, buying and selling for a profit is as old as time. Its how you conduct yourself that differentiates scumbags from reasonable sellers.

My past-time is buying old woodworking machines, repairing them, and selling them for a (sometimes very small) profit. Its fun, it keeps me busy for a few saturdays in the shop, and I (hopefully) make some money. I dont consider it a business, I put a good deal of effort and money (parts) into the repairs/overhaul/resto of them, and pass along what i hope is a quality machine for people to use and enjoy. See my threads on repairing shafts on 12" disc/6x48 rockwell/delta sanders for examples.

There is some of this going on in Edmonton as well. One seller on fb marketplace is selling Milwaukee Sawzall blades and other stuff. But they are not Milwaukee they are no name brand that he is putting in to the Milwaukee sleeves. One of the guys I worked with bought a knockout set off the guy, who said it was new in the box. Buys it gets home. Greenlee box, but like the cheapest knockouts from ali. He posted a bunch of comments on the FB market place and they guy disappeared for like a weekend. Then back under a different name. Scammers are all over.
