  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. Could a person swap the 10 HP motor out for a much more “hobbyist-friendly” 5 HP motor?
You might not be able to “take very large cuts”, but I think most of us could live with taking more, less aggressive cuts.
I just don’t know what else would have to be replaced.

You would likely be making some significant adaptor plates to account for the different frame size, and also a shaft adaptor of some sort to go from the obviously much larger shaft to a smaller one.

Then you would need to figure everything out with the electrics as far as a drive, fusing, controls, etc.

It’s an undertaking. And you would not be able to use the mill until said undertaking is complete.

It’s also a huge machine to move.

It’s all 100% possible but none of that is free. Or easy unless your a man with a certain set of skills like Liam neeson.
