It looks okay for an old machine. Would need new lead screw nuts. But it should be inspected for way condition and the knee gear, which are a little more costly to fix. for a guy interested in the hobby of refurbishing machines, it is a good one to start with.

If you cannot fine parts, or people capable of restoring the ways, etc., in my opinion, you are not actually trying!

The real test is to get to the point of having a rebuilt machine, without spending as much as you could have just bought a competently rebuilt machine of like kind, for!

Yeah, but you can build a Hot Rod almost any way that you want, then adjust out the crappy handling and the like. Nobody cares, if the frame looks like a pretzel, as long as it rolls along the road and looks cool!

You can only ever make a machine tool better or worse, than it started out as!
