Merry Christmas!

Unless things go sideways at the last minute...
As Blondihacks occasionally notes, ominous foreshadowing.

12:30 Christmas Day, I back the Hawg onto the driveway (it was 6 degrees), check the oil, kick the tires & light the fires. Few minutes of warmup, I'm dressed for the cold, climb on, classic rock blaring on the stereo, drop 'er into first gear, let the clutch out and...nothing. Did I miss first gear? Back into neutral, down into first again, clutch out...nada. Up into 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, clutch out each time, zilch. WTF?

Have a look under my left shoulder, there's a drive belt laying on the concrete under the bike. Sunovabitch...

I'm trying to be angry, but the thought of having it blow out on the highway somewhere keeps me in fair decent cheer. If a belt's gotta go, your own driveway is a damn good place for it to happen. Pushed the bike back into the garage, stripped off the riding gear, jumped into the pickup & delivered the liquid cheer inna cage.

BTW, the belt has around 95k miles on it.
