I bought this 4500 pound lift last week on Gov Deals from the Liquor Control Board of Ontario. When I picked it up, it is literally brand new. It even came with a dolly like you would move a trailer around with.
We put an entire lift of melamine on it in front of the CNC. Now one guy can load sheets and it lifts up as you remove a sheet, so it’s always at the same height. It even swivels 360 degrees with detents at every 90 degrees. Works awesome, I’m pretty happy.
It was on before but never sold. They listed it again and I bid but it didn’t make the reserve so I forgot about it. They emailed and said to come get it.

How does it do that? Like those plate dispensers in a cafeteria which always have the next plate at the right height. There is something subtle here....
I think it’s because it is rated for 4500 pounds and that is pretty much the weight of a lift of melamine. There is two big coil springs. I’m not sure how it does it. Nothing really mechanical other than a big shock absorber. We just cut 41 sheet’s yesterday and I measured as we went and it was within a quarter inch for the entire lift. The nice thing is it’s fairly close to the height of the CNC.
