  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area. Don’t be shy, sign up and come, or plan your own meetup!

Figured we may as well get this thread started with time to spare.

@Alexander has expressed interest for next year, I'm definitely in too.

I still have our sign that @Kris Jensen put together for us, so check that off the to do list.

I'll have my mini mill CNC finished by then, will work towards having a small handful of programs ready by then too. I would love to have some softjaws milled for work holding too, would be flashy.

Just went through last years thread.

Things for discussion / consideration:

Should we do the video again? --> Will need footage from everyone to update it!

What should we bring for the booth? My mini mill is in, TV and stuff if we decide on the video again.

I'll get some business cards mocked up, Good idea @Janger

Perhaps some small things as examples of what we have machined for people to see/touch (nothing too valuable, however, just in case!) Or things too big to pocket... humm...
