Was eating a chapmans ice cream sandwich

They are beautiful!

If you lived in Ontario, you would enjoy Kawartha's ice cream much more. We can get Chapman's but ours is mostly ice and not much cream. The only really good ice cream I ever had in the west was home made.

Vancouver choices are Chapmans or Island Farms, both excellent and readily available.

Interesting. I researched Chapman's just now and discovered that they make several different quality tiers of icecream. So what you get depends on where you get it and which sub brand they stock. Sobies here carries their lower quality tier, while Kawartha is the high quality offering.

I guess I'm an ice cream snob and didn't even know it!

Hi Guys,
"WALLS" Used to be one of the biggest icecream manufacturers in the country ! However manufacturers like Häagen-Dazs an American brand seem to be quite popular nowadays, among a few others.

Ice-cream 😎

I CAN’T go past Hewitts Dairy Bar without getting a chocolate milkshake. Even better with burger and fries. They are a small one store only highlight of Hyw 6 near Hagersville.

True story-
I saw a pair of robins basking in the summer sun - then a cat jumped out and ate them. It seems cats like Baskin Robins too.
Yep i couldn’t resist that ice-cream joke. But as good as their ice-cream is, I wouldn’t be sampling it again since it is a US chain.

Not going to reread nine pages to see if this is already here and I'd still post up for this anyway.
Stopped by a couple of weeks back and ordered a carbide end mill from Rob at Skookum Tools. It's nice being close by, that way he can deal with the puter bit. Received the bit in a couple of days. Finally put it into service today and the finish is spectacular. Pretty sure this is my new go to.

You don't have to read the whole thread. Just search "Skookum Tools" (upper right corner of your screen) and specify "This Thread", and you'll find the previous mentions.

I recall WALLS ice cream to be more like frozen margarine with an eerie yellow hue and a disgusting artificial fat like "taste". Something invented during the war to re-use some sort of process waste as calories for the masses? Has it improved? last time I had it was last millennium... talk about off topic in this thread...I'm guilty.

Kawartha is a premium brand that you can get at Sobeys.
On PEI we have been drawn to COWS Creamery on several trips.
