I would like to see a "Manuals" folder added to the library? Maybe with sub folders Lathe, Milling, CNC and others as required. Members are quite often looking for manuals that have been previously posted or they haven't been able to find elsewhere.

Standard Modern had all their manuals available online but now they are gone so no more manuals. I have most of the manuals they had available and I think it would good to have them available to all in an easy to find location.

Is VM missing something?

The mandate at Vintage Machinery is older machines, as the name suggests. But it is generally older machines where one needs to find documentation.

Personally, I would encourage people to upload scans to Vintage Machinery and/or support them financially. I don't see a reason to duplicate something that they are doing quite well right now.

VM does not have a good manual on many smaller machines.

Many newer machines, especially those from China written in dubious english... so there is some merit to this idea.

There is no one stop shop on the interwebs,.. I know, I've been looking for online paradise since forever

In addition the Xenforo download add-on is a hot mess.
 
I'll look at VM and add what I have to the list of what they don't have, if that makes sense.

In the mean time I downloaded most of the older SM manuals that they had online if anyone needs one.
 
I just wonder ( not a lot ) about if the worst case senerio happens and they say “ we’re done and all the eggs are in one basket.

So vintage machinery adding modern chinesium manuals is new to me.
