Logan lathe in pieces CA$500

The data plate shows the model as an 820 but the 820 was a flat belt machine on legs. This looks more like an 1825? with cabinet and V belt.
It may be just the gearbox is from an 820.

In any case for $500 it looks reasonably complete and would be well worth a look.

If it were here on the island I'd have it, unless @Tomc938 got to it first. lol

Doesn't @Tomc938 already have an IKEA lathe? :D

It's a 1825, nearly missed out on it.

But now I have more lathes than shops, But it will go into storage until I'm setup in my new place.

seem mostly complete, bed ways are expected for a 60 y/o machine.

Seller was exceptional, came from a craft brewery. Prior to that a shop in Edmonton. And they threw in probably $40 worth of beer.

This lather will go nicely with its bigger brother (6560).

Nice catch.

So the gearbox is from an 820?

I'm not sure, i haven't had a chance to really examine the gear box. The name plate is detached, which is stamped for an 820. Could be just replacement nameplate for a missing 1825 just to have the threading chart or a whole different gear box.
