For those running Linux this program, "Nemo-Image-Converter", will resize/rotate images. It is found in the Software Manager.
When installed, you only need to right click on an image in a folder and click the resize or rotate option from the list, select the image size needed and hit the resize button. A new image will be added to the original folder with the word "resize" in the new image name.
