Like new Sharp milling machine, $5000, Midway, BC

I'm trying to decide how strong my wanna is, nothing to do with need. lol

I'm looking for the weight and what the book says for lifting the machine. I don't think my 04 Tacoma will haul it the bed, probably need to trailer it if it follows me home.

This from the guy who lives half way between the boonies and the toolies.
My grandparents once ran a lighthouse in the Sooke area, back then it was the end of a road to nowhere in particular.......

Wow. Only 6 ft at the drawbar! You are right, that is a short mill!

Nice for those who need it or don't have the ceiling height.
Now there is a surprise image I was NOT expecting to ever see! A mill so short I'd have to crouch to tighten the drawbar......... LOL!

In the photo it looks deceptively like my full size First LC1-1/2 TM (both Long Chang made).

In my best Dr. Evil voice: "I call him mini-me....."

D

No. A bunch of long round rollers under the pyramid stones. When one shows up at the back, run it to the front and put it under the front. Push stone and repeat. If you angle the rollers you can turn a corner. Seriously. It's how I also got the compressor into the corner. It's still sitting on the pallet.

And the crowd goes Ra Ra Ra!

No the Egyptian method would be to roll it on steel pipes…

The Egyptians had steel pipes? I didn't know that!

I always wondered who invented the steel pipe. Who would have guessed it was a bunch of hungry homeless people in Egypt who were tricked into moving a bunch of big rocks to cover up a few extra smelly dead bodies.

Edit after reading other posts - sorry guys, was reading in chronological order and didn't notice others had already had fun with this!

Had to look it up but yellow rock it is.

Funny, I had it pegged for the Sooke area .... I do know we used to visit old family friends in Sooke, I was probably around five years old or so. Two things stuck in my mind, one was that there was more than one hole-in-one trophy in the case. Even at that age I was impressed! The other was a pod of whales breaching every few minutes for it seemed an hour or so outside the living room window...... The last name was Whitford, Kieth was the first name as I recall. He's been gone a long time now....

LOL . . . What is on the menu ?
You guys out West have all the fun !!

They either ‘covered’ that table or never used the mill.
Clean SHARPE compact machine.
