  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area. Exact same lathe as i have other than it is missing the chip pan that came with them.

i havent read the add but am surmising by a couple of posts concerning a shear pin that it doesnt turn the headstock....it could be a shear pin ( I wouldnt know even where it is as I have never broken one) but , from My experience with that very lathe, it is possible that the gear change forks have loosened from the shifting shaft....quite common with these lathes.....1/2 hr fix.

Also missing is the kick board divider between the two stands, pretty much the only real benefit to having it is it sturdies up the lathe stands
