Doesn’t seem like a great price for a manual. ;-). As stated, a real picture as a proof of life would have been nice.

Bet they will have tons of interest and willing to hold it for a small deposit.
 
Aside from the reversing lever it's almost exactly like my 12x37. Identical I think to @Tomc938 lathe though.
 
It looks pretty clean for $1000. You probably wouldn't even see this in Calgary because it would be sold and picked up within the hour

Correct. At this price point it is super cheap. It would be picked up, quickly fixed and flipped for 2500. At least I would fix her up, clean, inspect and re-sell.
 
I'd get it but I have two table saw's I'm restoring and it's pretty much a full day commitment with ferries and such.
 
Sure looks like mine. And pictures! Maybe I need a 4th lathe. Especially since it seems I only have room for one based on recent attempts to make everything fit.
Sounds like you are a building permit away from your dreams...... Dream big ol' man, dream big!:p
