I was after some specific (small) snap ring pliers of various nose configurations & dealing with domestic distributers was a PITA. The Canadian ones didn't have stock, so had to order in. The USA distributers had them but the usual shipping & customs rigmarole. I found this Ebay seller, quick delivery & decent price. ps - you might find Knipex items at comparable prices through regular channels, local tool store or Amazon, but it kind of depends on model. Anyways FWIW

Thanks for the link; it's good to have more supplier choices when looking for specialized items.
Still, those prices (from the seller's See Other Items list) are 'awe-inspiring' - I don't know if I will ever get accustomed to the idea of $90 linesmans pliers.

I have a few Knipex tools and really like them. Nice high quality but pricy.

I learned of Knipex tools from an Aircraft Mechanic acquaintance of mine. He told me that a high percentage of his work was done with just 2 or 3 sizes of Knipex pliers (doing maintenance work for Air Canada and WestJet).
I've bought a couple pairs myself and I do like them, especially the non-marring aspect.

My side cutters in my work tool box are Knipex pliers, but I bought them off the Mac truck under the Mac name about 14 years ago. The Knipex name is still forged into them, with Mac on the grips. They were worth every penny, as the jaws are still sharp after all the abuse I've put them through.
