You knife makers please a question. - How is this kanji script embossed so precisely in this knife I bought? It really pops more so than the photos show?

I don't know for sure how that one was done, but I do know acid etching can be done on a blade. The blade is coated in a wax like substance and then when it is warm and pliable the wax is scratched off in the desired design. The blade then gets an acid bath and only the scratched off wax areas get etched.

I was watching a YouTube on making these kinds of knives and they literally use a sharp chisel and make every stroke by hand. !
