King PDM-30 $500.00 Needs a little TLC

Has to be sold by now? 5 days listed.

If this were close by, I'd go buy it, clean it up, and flip it. Could easily make $1000 off this.

Yup sure could. I'm certainly not against a fellow doing just that to make a few bucks but I'm always hoping someone that just couldn't afford market prices for machinery could hook onto deals like this before they get grabbed by entrepreneurs.

Someone that knows what they're doing cleaning it up and getting it into working shape could be a blessing for a newbie who wants an affordable machine. An 100% working machine at $1000 is a better buy than a fixer upper/questionable machine at $500.

These now retail for $3000 new with tax in Alberta. So I doubt 99% working used machine now can be had for just $1000 at least in AB market - maybe in Ontario? I venture in AB this is closer to 1500.

Plus you get original stand.

Make sure you ask lots of questions before putting your money down.
This mill looks bad, but, it may just need a good clean-up.
Check for lead screw backlash, marks in the table, broken handles, etc.
A little surface rust may just mean a damp storage area.
