Looking to buy a small rolling mill but don't want to spend too much as it will likely get used once to flatten some gold for laser engraving. I might even build a small one but for time sake buying a used one.

Thanks

A good, name brand, one will easily start at $500+. And I’ve seen them over $1k. Way out of my budget.
Some of the price is determined by the size and versatility of the rolls. Some will do round and square wire, as well as flat.
Good mill
You won’t find a new one under $200. And those are the “cheap” ones on Amazon. I’ve been eyeing this one:

Amazon mill

I’ve been trying to find a used one myself. My hope is to get something off of marketplace for under a hundred.
I’d even be willing to spend a couple of hundred if a deal came up on one of the good ones.
The key thing to look for is perfect, unmarked rollers.

If you do find something at a good price, and only need it for one job, let me know and I might be able to take it off your hands.

Where are you located, 1018? I feel like it was Ontario somewhere, but...

If it's not a crazy trip, you're welcome to just use my mill (Durston, 4.5" wide flat rolls). I'm in Etobicoke, west end of Toronto.
Hey Stuart,

Thanks for the offer. I might take you up on that, I live a couple hours from you. I'm still a ways out from refining my gold and I was starting to think I'd make one but maybe now I won't. I'll reach out when I get closer to that point.

Thank you
