iPhone to Android - phone recommendations?

I'm considering shifting from an iPhone to an Android.
For all the Android users out there, what make/model do you have and would you recommend it?

I like the Google Nexus phones direct from Google.
Not the cheapest but they always get the OS updates pushed through first before crap like Samsung get them.
They also don't have all the bloatware present on a lot of the other phones.
Generally they promise updates for five years before the phone ages out and you're on your own.
Cameras are awesome. There is a decent trade in value when it's time to upgrade as well.
I've got an 8A

I have had mostly Samsung phones for the last 10 years. They have their flaws. But I like them because they work and meet my needs. The user base is huge and answers are always available. The only real problems I've ever had is accidental damage. The most recent models have been significantly stronger.

I'd also consider a google phone without reservation. Just never worked out that what I wanted was available when I needed it.

Mine's a Samsung Galaxy S10.
I'm happy with it.
Although, and I don't know if it's the phone but the GrowCube software had trouble linking and staying linked. Not sure if that was my WiFi and Repeater setup of the phone. But other than that no problems. Battery only lasts about 1.5 days now. But then it's about 5 years old.
I have the same, and it's done all I have asked of it. Although, I am not very "techy", so, a string and two cans would probably suffice. :p
I also have a galaxy s10e, but much prefer the s10.

The s10e is a little smaller, has less battery and not as good of a camera....... Well, that and the fact I broke the screen on day two.
It still works fine, it's just not as nice as the s10, which is equally as broken at this stage. :p

A32 5G at the moment. When it no longer gets updated u will move us to the current A series. Prefer the due to price difference from S series

The Nexus phones have been gone for ages. The "OEM" Google phones now are the Pixel. They still keep a "stock" Android on them and good updates. I have a Pixel 5 going on 4.5 years, still decent, though I only get a couple days of battery life now instead of 4-5 days like when it was new. Probably replacing with a Pixel 10 when they're out in the fall.

I'm on my 3rd Samsung, and wife is on her 2nd Google Pixel. I like the Samsungs, and she likes the googles. Neither of us would consider going back to Iphone ever again.

Coming from an Iphone, you might initially hate it. But stick with it, and give it time. The only real complaint I've heard from people switching is if they're big Itunes users and like how that works, and are fully bought into it. I personally hated Itunes, and everything about it.

Ive had the Samsung product thru several series now and am very happy with them with one exception, the "Samsung Flip". It was only a few months old when the screen went black and i sent it in for repairs, report came back "customer damage, 500 to fix"...that phone had never been dropped or miss-handled in any way, so I re-charged my old Series 7 and am still using it...that Fkip is still in the house somewhere but I dont know where.

Like others I've had good luck with Samsung top tier phones. I never was an IPhone user so it's hard for me to compare, I went from Blackberries into Android and never have regretted not having a IPhone.

The Samsung phones usually do have the latest hardware gimmicks, but their implementation of Android is just crap. Nothing beats stock Android for a clean user experience.
