  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area. Don’t be shy, sign up and come, or plan your own meetup!

Igaging AbsoluteDRO freeze up

Alright I have not much to offer but only questions it seems....

I have installed Igaging Absolute DRO scales on my 10x22 lathe and for the most part I like them. However the one display has always occasionally froze up. I power down and then up again an everything is fine again for a while. I have replaced batteries several times. Anyone else have these thingies on any of their machinery?

I think @Janger bought a set of the same scales recently, maybe he can chime in.


If you recently bought them, I would take the suspect unit for a replacement. (The easiest solution, haha)

I've owned them for quite a while actually, maybe two years so out of l there. I also tried a couple different suppliers of them but could not even get a response. As long as the problem doesn't get worse it's totally usable as is, just irritating.
