  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area. Tool I didn't realize everything was a Fluke

Was talking about multimeters on another board and went to snap a pic of my gear...didn't quite clue in how much of it was Fluke until now (I have a few other bits not pictured) but ya, I guess I'm kinda an addict? 287 Meter, 325 Clamp, 1AC II Tester, TLK281 leads, C195 Bag.

No video or anything, just a random fun pic :)

Having spent so much of my life working in sensor systems and controllers, I like Fluke stuff too. I've had the odd meter that was flaky, but most of them are rock solid reliable testers.

If something in my shop works, it is definitely a FLUKE.
And I ain't got no fluke branded tools.:p
 
My daily driver is also a fluke 287, have yet to use the bit that talks to the computer, but its there.

It's nice when work shells out for the good stuff. (Im much too cheap otherwise)
 
I have a Hioki 3208-10, it was free. Picked it up in a parking lot, figured i may as well pick it up and give it a home before somebody drove over it. Looked like a black glove laying in the snow. Don't do much with it but is handy checking the odd item.
 
they say if you get the right reading , it's a Fluke. Actually, it's good equipment. I bought a 98 automotive scope meter about 30 yrs ago and it has been flawless. I took an instruction course on it's use and the instructor would hold the scope out in front of him and drop it on a concrete floor just to demonstrate how rugged they were. cringe worthy.$4500 was a lot of money back then too.
