Hydraulic press upgrades

I built a steady rest and that's what I used on the fingers, Works well. I know there are a lot of opinions on using rollers, bearings, for a steady rest. pros and cons. I've never had an issue of swarf getting between the rollers and the work. I had the cam followers but no bronze so that was my choice. I've seen Kurtis from Cutting Edge use masking tape to protect the bearings, and Adam Booth slip a ring of gasket paper for protection. The roller allows more pressure to be applied to the work.

After puzzling over this for an hour, then giving up & asking for your help, I just figgered it out from your photos. Thx anyways! I'm sure I'll have more questions.

There are many holes to be drilled in these modifications. If you don't already have it, I recommend that you buy a Rotobroach set. It will save you hours of drilling on this and other projects.
