How to find out if a member will do small jobs?

Hello, I'm not a metal worker but thought I might like to have four brass footers made for an audio equipment rack I'm putting together - in Calgary - for personal use. The footers would need to be female threaded for a 7/8" Grade A Bright Zinc Chromate Plated (thread count 9) rod. I've tried Googling shops but from the description of their activities I expect they would be quite expensive.
