One more for the Alberta team I guess.
Originaly from Ottawa Ontario.

I'm one of the lucky ones. I love my job. If I wasn't a machinist by trade it would be a hobby so I hope that counts.

New to this forum thanks to Janger. Wish I had found this place 10 years ago.
Hope to be able to contribute and help a few people out once in a while.

Been doing CNC manufacturing for over 35 years now.
Really enjoy seeing the diversity of metal working in this place. Knife making is nice but not something I would want to do. Gunsmithing on the other hand is something I've always wanted to get into.

Anyways, there's a lot here for me to catch up on. I might have to dig up some old topics.

Cheers.
Victor

There's a members only section for the dark arts...

Welcome

Welcome. Calgary/area has typically organized a meetup sometime in spring where we can meet in person, show projects & enjoy some grub. We have come a long way since our dozen or so at the local Tims. So look for some messaging on that front when the time comes, but meanwhile feel free to share your projects/experience. We like pictures.

Victor had an ad up for a NSX? collet tightener on facebook - I pinged him to say join the forum! Welcome Victor.

Welcome from Vancouver!

Take this whichever way you want - since I found CHMW, I’ve let my subscriptions to Home Shop Machinist and Machinist’s Workshop run out. Sorry, Village Press, but CHMW is much more interesting, a lot more fun, and way better at helping me solve machining questions.
