  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area. The Hurcus is an Australian copy of the 9" South Bend. I see a carriage stop in chip pan.... Perhaps there's more in the tool box. Looks to be in pretty good shape.
 
I've seen one of these in person and they are a very solid machine. Definitely a South Bend 9 clone not a Myford clone.
 
Ad was originally posted at $1700, then bumped up to $2500, now it’s at $2250. So it didn’t sell at $1700, maybe $2250 will do the trick? Sigh.
 
Definitely not a Myford clone. It’s an Australian made 9”lathe built under license from Southbend. Same arrangement as the British Boxford. The Hercus is a closer copy to the Southbend though. Agreed, good price especially with the gear box.
