  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area. Don’t be shy, sign up and come, or plan your own meetup!

Hello From PEI

Hey guys, new member here, thanks for letting me join. I’m sure I’m going to find lots of useful information here.

Just a little background, I'm 46, I’ve been a Millwright since 1996, Licensed Red Seal in 2001. I work in the food industry & have been with the same company for 29 years. “ON PAPER ONLY LOL” I’m a block three machinist but have a very minimal hours, so bare with me lol.

I do a lot of fooling around at home with welding, fabrication etc. nothing spectacular or pretty but I have fun doing it. Looking at purchasing a 1236 lathe at the time of posting this. Would also love to add a small mill sometime.

Welcome from food Country Ontario! Farming that is!

You will like it here.

Well guys, you sure don’t take long to reply to threads! That’s awesome. I can’t wait to hopefully start learning from you all soon!

Welcome from Lillooet BC....

Hell man, you mentioned that you are interested in buying a small mill, since most of us have already spent our allowance, we're looking to spend a little bit of yours in its place. One has to move fast on these opportunities.......
