I live in the Moncton area of New Brunswick and discovered my love for machining about 10 years ago when i built my own gingery lathe. in the meantime, i've upgraded to an Emco V10 and love it. I joined this forum because one of these days i'd love to get a hold of one of those little mini shapers. i was thinking of making my own following the gingery books but I just don't have the time. anyways, thank you for letting me join.

welcome from Toronto.

Congrats on your building a gingery lathe.

Welcome to this group of hackers, craftsmen and chip producers.

Post any questions, I was at a fellow CHMW’s place last night for a little turning job.

I went thru (4) years of machining, (10) years of process design work and (20) years of project management with application engineering.
My wife and I were out to St. Andrew’s in 2025 where we discovered the resident deer.
Played a round of golf at the Algonquin with a couple guys from Moncton.
