I swear the town name in Sask was Surprise, but my memory's fuzzy. It was about 45-60 minutes north of Swift Current. Trying to get there from Peace River AB was .... fun.
 
A bit late to see this thread but - welcome to our group. Three nights ago a classmate was here for a visit and stayed overnight- he lives in Forest.

Really, I have family near there.

I too hate cities. I did live in Victoria for a few years a long time ago it was OK. I do remember that there were several execution style murders then (1970's) so it wasn't completely boring.

The R.M. of Surprise is close to the Alberta border west os Swift current but I don't think there is a town of that name.
