Hello from a Loosenut behind the wheel

Schreckling also wrote two more books. One has two different designs that are more modern and the second is for a turbo prop engine.

I was gunna say welcome from Lillooet BC, but I don't think I am worthy...... some beautiful work there and I am sure you still have more waiting in the wings.....
Welcome aboard!

Im on my 4 th trip thru those photos and my admiration for your workmanship just grows every trip.
The attention to detail is superb, from the elevating mechanism to the opening-closing slides & handle on that Krupp style breech block.
I have built a "interrupted thread" breech system also but it is simplistic in design compared to yours
Fine-Fine work sir!!

Super cool projects! Welcome from near Ottawa. Love to see some pics of your patterns and any coreboxes etc.

My two 3D printers have each earned their keep by pooping out usable foundry patterns, but I don't like to admit it.

As a molder, wooden patterns are so much nicer to work with!

It takes time to find good deals on all the used woodworking machines one "needs" though, and even then you still have to make room for them and learn how to get good at using them. That also takes time. Meanwhile a printer can mostly cover the same bases, and almost as well.

At the cost of about half my sanity, trying to get draft and fillets to work, etc., these infernal machines have somehow earned their place.

Jeff
