Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. I always tell my kids that I don't need anything but they got me a gift card and took me out for a burger at one of my favorite burger places. Japa Shack is a Japanese themed burger place that has amazing food and we all agree the fries are so exceptional you have to comment on them, too.

With the gift card I got one of these:

I'll be curious how you like that set.

The set was supposed to arrive today but is now delayed until tomorrow. The new wrench set will hopefully work well with the Assorts brand Spring Center I bought a few weeks ago.

Never even knew a tool such as a spring center existed until I stumbled upon it in a thread on this site. :)

I have a General tap wrench, and I'm very happy with it, excellent quality. I threw all the crappy ones that I had acquired over the years in the crappy tool bin after using the General. Then I purchased a Starrett wrench for larger taps, the Starrett is a thing of beauty after using it I threw all the remaining crappy handle "loosenes" every time you use it tap wrenches in the same crappy tool bin.;-)

Now when ever I tap a hole I smile instead of frown.

^this - my sentiments EXACTLY @slow-poke .

My "good one" was a bosche, until I got a Starrett. Now all my tap wrenches are Starrett.

The only one I'm still missing is the biggest one. It's on my "priority shopping" list.

Edit - I have the D. Apparently, it might be the biggest one. If so, I might be looking for a bigger one for an eternity!
