Thanks for posting that @gerritv. I particularly like the availability of magnetic tape.

A DRO for my lathe just got a whole lot closer! I'm just picturing a strip of tape stuck to the bottom of my compound inside the dovetail section with a cavity milled out of the saddle for the read head - or maybe added into a block at the back. No more worries about tailstock interference or chip accumulation.

I'd like to see a copy of the manual though. On the surface, it doesn't appear to equal the functionality of the Ditron. But appearances can be deceiving.

It's great that Aikron is so responsive. So is Ditron albeit with a longer delay time.
